Australian Six - Harkness. Donald (Don) James Harkness was a racing driver, designer, engineer and involved in both the automotive and aeronautical industries.
Don Harkness won many car races (including in the Australian Six), held Land speed records, designed and built the Harkness Hornett engine and was part of Harkness & Hillier Limited (see Australian Six - Harkness & Hillier post), which in 1923 purchased, produced and distributed the Australian Six automobile.
