Charley

Charley was made in Melbourne, Victoria in 1911. Charley was later sold to a director, Ernest Schultz.

John Joseph Charley lodged a patent in Australia (Patent 11358 /1908) on 24 Februaty 1908 for the "Improvements in road traction vehicles and the like" & (Patent 4870 /1912) on 23 December 1911 for "Improvements in vehicular construction for absorbing or reducing road shock and the like". Charley Motors Limited lodged a patent in Australia lodged a patent in Australia (Patent

Ernest Schultz lodged a patent in Australia (Patent 6262 / 1912) on 31 August 1912 for "Improvements in shock absorbing spring suspension means for motor cars and other vehicles."

Walter George Charley (son of John Joseph Charley) lodged a patent in Australia (Patent 14523 /1914) ib 30 September 1914 fo "Improvements in the suspension of vehicles for road or rail and the like."
