It qualifies as Australian if one or more components - body/engine/chassis were either prototype, designed, built, assembled, manufactured or made for use, only in Australia, (we also adopted a few New Zealand cars as Australian!). Birkin (kit car)

Birkin began in 1982 is a clubman similar to a 1968 Lotus 7 but made available in Australia through distributors in kit form.
