Richard Spencer was originally trading as a blacksmith & the Spencer Company was an automobile body builder in Adelaide, South Australia during the 1920's and into the 1930's. Marques that they build included Willys Knight and Overland and also were subcontractors for Duncan and Fraser.
This website presents the Ivan Hoffmann Collection of research materials for Australian Automobiles - clippings, brochures, diagrams, photos, articles etc., from early days until more recent. It qualifies as Australian if one or more components - body/engine/chassis were either prototype, designed, built, assembled, manufactured or made for use, only in Australia, (we also adopted a few New Zealand cars as Australian!).
