It qualifies as Australian if one or more components - body/engine/chassis were either prototype, designed, built, assembled, manufactured or made for use, only in Australia, (we also adopted a few New Zealand cars as Australian!). Campbell was a steam automobile built by Archibald M Campbell at Hobart, Tasmania in 1901-1912. Three cars were built.

According to Gilltraps’ Australian Cars from 1879, Campbell built three automobiles, in Tasmania, between 1900 and 1912, steam; electric; and petrol vehicles.
