Brabham refers to Motor Racing Developments Limited, an English racing car producer, however we claim it as Australian as it was set up 1961 by two Australian racing car drivers Jack Brabham and Ron Tauranac. Racing cars produced were Brabham BT1 - Brabham BT63 and had engines including Coventry Climax; Repco; Ford (Cosworth DFV); Alfa Romeo; BMW; Judd and included racing for Formula 1; Formula 2; Formula 3; 5000; Indy; Hillclimb; etc. The Repco engine was Australian - see separate Repco Brabham post. Brabham's name was also put on a coupe car he helped design.
Sir Jack Brabham won the Formula one World Championships in 1959, 1960 and 1966.
Sir Jack Brabham's sons, Geoffrey; Gary; and David were also racing car drivers.
Also part of the Ivan Hoffmann Collection, but not appearing here are further copies of articles on Brabham BT racing cars and Jack Brabham (& family); web files; photos; booklets; images; advertisements. Also see Brabham - Wikipedia .
