The American Chrysler products (Dodge/De Soto/Plymouth) were assembled in all states in Australia by various body manufacturer companies such as TJ Richards and Sons (of Adelaide, South Australia) who manufactured Chrysler bodies from 1928 until 1951, until Chrysler Australia Limited (CAL) was created.
Chrysler's manufacturing was consolidated in Adelaide, South Australia from 1951 until 1980, when Mitsubishi Australia took over full ownership. Chrysler Australia made the Australian Hemi-6 engine and the following models -

- Mitsubishi Galant 1976-1977 (or Galant)
- Mitsubishi Galant Lambda 1976-1984 (or Scorpion)
- Drifter 1977-1978
- Sigma 1977-1980
- Mitsubishi Lancer 1977-1980 (or Lancer)
- Mitsubishi Lancer 1977-1981 (or Valiant Lancer)
