This web-site presents the Ivan Hoffmann Collection of research materials about Australian Automobiles - clippings, brochures, diagrams, photos, articles etc., from early days until more recent. It qualifies as Australian if one or more components - body/engine/chassis were either prototype, designed, built, assembled, manufactured or made for use, only in Australia, (we also adopted a few New Zealand cars as Australian!). Chevrolet

The American Chevrolet came as chassis and assembled in Australia by various body builders, after World War 2, they came as a Complete Knock Down (CKD) kits and assembled by General Motors Holden.

1930 Chevrolet

Sir Donald Bradman, an Australian International cricketer, referred to as "the greatest batsman of all time" was presented with an Australian General Motors Chevrolet in 1930.
