It qualifies as Australian if one or more components - body/engine/chassis were either prototype, designed, built, assembled, manufactured or made for use, only in Australia, (we also adopted a few New Zealand cars as Australian!). MG

MG was an English car manufacturer, however CKD's (Complete Knock Downs) were assembled in at Sydney, New South Wales (by Pressed Metal Corporation and by BMC) and included the MG - A (sportscar 1955-1962); MG - B (roadster 1963-1972); MG Midget (sportscar 1961-1979).
