Peter Pellandine started building fibreglass sports cars as Falcon Shell in United Kingdom, then moved to New Zealand (1957) and Australian and created Pellanddini in Cherry Gardens (Adelaide), South Australia from 1970 until 1978. Pellandine then moved back to United Kingdom and continued as Pelland until he sold and the cars became Ryder Rembrandt.
Peter Pellandine also produced a fibreglass monocoque steam car from 1974 (with Australian government funding), and during the 1990's returned to Australia and attempted to break the world land-speed record for a steam car.
