Sangston

Daniel H Sangston built a hovercraft, which was used in 1 mile run across a paddock to ferry bags of official mail (classed as air mail!).

A souvenir envelope was issued as part of the Melbourne International Philatelic Exhibition to commemorate the first Australian Hovercraft Mail on 8 October 1963.
